GU14 Win San Diego Open
GU14 team coached by Luis Casillas and Chip Brust won the San Diego Open on 7-25-10. They compiled a record of 4 wins against 1 loss. They scored 17 goals while only conceding 5.
The final was a rematch against Matrix Elite who had handed them their only loss earlier in the tournament. This time, the girls from Oceanside were not to be denied.

2009-2010 Competitive Soccer Volunteer of the Year
 The Soccer Club of Oceanside is proud to announce that at it's recent Annual Award Night Presentation, the 2009-10 Competitive Soccer Volunteer of the Year Trophy was awarded to Becky Hay.
Becky is a much deserving recipient of this prestigious award. This past season Becky was instrumental in leading our fund raising campaigns to help players with their fees. She single handedly created and ran our very successful "Let's Dine Out" monthly fundraisers, which were held at local restaurants within Oceanside, as a way of helping both our players and the local business owners.

Club Record Turnout at Youngers Tryouts
A fantastic week of younger teams tryouts ended today with Club record numbers !!! Many thanks to the players, parents, coaches and volunteers for an incredible week that exceeded anything I have witnessed in the last 10 years.
As a result of the record breaking attendance we have added additional teams at a number of age groups. It looks like we will end with a total of 22 younger teams for 2010, compared with 25 total (younger and older) in 2009-10. With our older team tryouts still to come and more teams to be added at that point, Oceanside Breakers will have a Club record number of teams on the soccer fields of San Diego this year.

2009 Recreational Soccer Volunteer of the Year
 The Soccer Club of Oceanside is proud to announce that it's 2009 Recreational Soccer Volunteer of the Year Trophy was recently awarded to Jaci Ackles.
This is very well deserved recognition for a person that spends countless hours working behind the scenes to give our kids a place to play this beautiful game.

Breakers Competitive BU16 Team Capture Premier Qualifying Tournament
I wanted to report yet another wonderful event that occurred this weekend involving our teams.
Our BU16 team, Coached by Miguel Barragan, traveled this weekend to San Diego and Temecula and secured 1st place in t e BU16 Presidio Premier Qualifying Tournament.
