Taylor Brust battles the competition as a center midfielder and center forward for her Oceanside Breakers GU12 team, which is No. 1 in the GU12 AA-B bracket. While the talented seven-year veteran contributes her success on the field to other people in her life, some of her teammates admit she is the reason why they are better players today.
XKSD: What's been the key to your team's success?
TB: Working hard at practice and we are passing much more.
XKSD: What is your most memorable moment?
TB: Getting the youth-sports award and winning most of our games.
XKSD: What are some of your individual goals?
TB: Winning, finishing strong and just having fun with it.
XKSD: What kind of teammate are you?
TB: I am encouraging, aggressive and funny.
XKSD: How would you describe your style of play?
TB: Smart, fast, aggressive and more.
XKSD: Who are some of the people that have helped you become the player you are today?
TB: Coach Chip, Coach Gino, Coach Frank, Rachel Garcia, Jacinda Rios, my grandparents, etc.
